Combustion runs on PC and Mac to work seamlessly, in a non-destructive unified paint and compositing environment, to finish complex effects shots. This course takes you through the many ways Combustion can fit into your workflow to composite elements interactively in a 3D environment.
Course Outline
Day 1
Learn to use the configurable viewports to see results of different elements of your workspace simultaneously.
Discover the true 3D perspective positioning and animation.
Use the unlimited multiple colour light sources with variable attributes like spot, point and distant lights.
Enhance scenes with realistic ray traced shadows and reflections.
Manipulate animations and scenes using object parenting, hinging, path alignment, four corner mapping with trackable corner points.
Day 2
Learn to use the multiple transfer modes including add, subtract, screen, difference, negative and shade.
Increase productivity with Combustion's Motion Blur.
Discover the vector based resolution independent painting functions such as real time rotoscoping, cloning and reveal for interactive painting between clips and various frames in a clip plus over 30 real-time draw modes.
Learn the vector based animatable selection tools with feathering control.
Use the Discreet keyer with spill and colour suppression, matte control levels for shrink, erode and blur settings.
Learn colour correction with the unified interface with channel manipulators.
Additional days
Learn the motion tracking functions for precise motion analysis with position, scale and rotation. Extend Combustion's functionality by sharing set up data with Inferno, Flame, Flint, Fire and Smoke.
Create animations using keyframing and the time line controls.
Discover Combustion's extensive library of filters for: blurs, sharpening, channel manipulation and image processing.
Learn how to attach and sync. sound to an animated scene.
